October 14

I went out to day to do a little practicing for the 150 series tournament tomorrow. After fishing a couple areas and catching a few fish, the wind was killing my batteries!!!! I have my trolling motor batteries for 4 years now and it is time to replace them. They will last about a half of a day without the wind.

I decided to go catch some crappie instead and ran up the North Anna arm. I pulled up to one of my favorite docks, got behind it and started casting 2" curly tail grubs rigged on a 1/16oz jig head. It didn't take long to put the first keeper in the boat. It took approx an hour and a half to put my 25 fish limit in the box. ALL of the fish were over 10" with the largest being almost 13".
